V Rising 1.0 release

Which 1.0 Upgrades Make the Biggest Difference?

  1. Multistory building: create a true Gothic castle: Homes used to require a broad, flat plot, and even a slight hillside could make building difficult. Version 1.0 supports spiral stairs, high galleries, and multilayer roofs, finally letting players raise a towering three-story Gothic palace on a cliff for a suitably imposing vampire home!
  2. Dracula and dynamic Rift Incursions: The Ruins of Mortium are full of Dracula's fanatical cultists. Random Rift Incursions force the squad to compete for ancient fragments amid waves of demons. The final assault on Dracula's abyssal throne is especially spectacular, demanding perfectly alternating slows, freezes, lunges, and movement skills to win.
  3. More enjoyable squad coordination: Weapon abilities and spell trees are expanded. One player combines a reaper with Chaos spells for area clearing, another uses a spear and Unholy spells for burst damage and defense breaking, while others capture high-quality Scholar and Warrior servants and decorate luxurious gardens and coffin bedrooms.

Avoiding Pitfalls: Why Set Up a Persistent Server for Your Squad?

Servant resource expeditions, Castle Heart blood consumption, and furnace refining of copper and iron advance with real time in V Rising. If a player's computer hosts the game, all world production stops when they turn it off. A dedicated server running 24 hours a day lets everyone progress whenever they want, and also allows you to disable the frustrating ban on teleporting with ore—a major time saver:

  • Server AppID: 1829350 (anonymous SteamCMD download)
  • Core communication ports: UDP 9876 (game data) and UDP 9877 (Steam handshake queries)
  • Time-saving setting: Set "TeleportBoundItems": false in ServerGameSettings.json, then teleport even with a backpack full of iron ore!
  • Complete setup guide: For the two JSON configuration files, see V Rising Dedicated Server Setup and Dual JSON Parameter Guide.

An Easier Way to Manage Your Squad's Server

Editing V Rising's two JSON files makes it easy to omit an English quotation mark or comma and cause server errors or crashes. We strongly recommend our open-source LanGame Server Manager (LGSM) (GitHub: SZSLGJCOM/LanGame-Server-Manager). LGSM offers intuitive visual checkboxes to enable ore teleportation, adjust day/night duration and refining multipliers, and schedule complete snapshots, protecting your castle from rollbacks caused by maintenance oversights.

Playing Across Networks and Joining the Server

  • With a public IP: Forward UDP ports 9876/9877 on your router. Teammates can click “Direct Connect” in the main menu and enter public-IP:9876 to join.
  • Without a public IP on rental networks or behind multiple NAT layers: Open the LINK feature in LanGame OS Orbit together, enter a private encrypted room, and connect using the generated virtual network adapter IP. No public IP is needed for a smooth vampire expedition!
